We manufacture a range of louvred products, including fully louvred options in steel or aluminium, and louvred panels for inserting into our range of doors. Our fully louvred VENT-DOR is suitable for plant rooms, boiler rooms and server rooms etc. where continuous airflow is required to ventilate machinery or release fumes from a room.

Steel Louvred Doors

Robust steel louvred doors are stronger than traditional lightweight aluminium louvres and can be used with side and overpanels. This makes them perfect for protecting machinery vulnerable to tampering or vandalism, whilst providing continuous airflow. In addition to this, we can also produce louvred screens and enclosures.

Another application for our louvred doors is in refuse areas, allowing air to circulate in from the bottom and allowing foul odours and potential dangerous fumes to escape.

Aluminium Louvres

As an option, Robust can also supply doors with leaves formed from extruded aluminium louvres in a 114mm single rebate frame. These doors are available in single or double configurations and can also be supplied with matching overpanels and side panels. In addition, the aluminium louvres can be provided as screen sections for plant enclosures etc. All louvres are available in a choice of PPC colours from our standard range.

Features

Materials

Door leaf manufactured from 2mm corrosion resistant Zintec/Aluzinc as standard. Door frame folded from 1.5mm Zintec/Aluzinc.

Sizes

Custom manufactured in 10mm increments for single openings up to 690mm to 1100mm and double openings 1290mm to 2300mm, at heighted up to 2500mm.

Louvre vane

Louvre blades are inclined at 45° and mounted at 50mm centres within a 50mm deep angle frame, which is mounted on a box section sub-frame for rigidity.

Airflow

Depending on the configuration, VENT-DOR allows a minimum airflow of 50%.

Frames

As all of our doors are made-to-measure, we have a variety of frame types available to suit your requirements:

A frame – allows the aperture to be finished with an architrave on the inside and outside of the opening.
B frame – provides an architrave to either the internal or external face of the opening.
C frame – is a standard 95mm deep single rebate frame for installation into brickwork or steel apertures.
D frame – is a double rebate frame allowing the door to be installed into wider brickwork/blockwork structures, or to allow the frame to span a cavity.

All frames are supplied with adjustable fixing feet allowing the frame to be accurately installed – even in openings which are out of square. As standard, type C and D frames are supplied with a variable sub-frame to accommodate for a site tolerance of +/- 30mm. This ensures a quick, hassle-free installation.
