1955

Novoferm, one of the largest industrial, garage and steel door system suppliers in Europe, was founded.

1956

The Sanwa Shutter family is one of the largest manufacturers of garage door systems. Now the owners of many door solutions manufacturers and innovators.

1997

Robust UK, a division of the Novoferm UK Limited and a leading steel door solution manufacturer, was founded.

1998

We moved to a 400m2 warehouse in Tean, Staffordshire.

2002

After extending the Cheadle factory, Robust had now outgrown the location and a new site was found. So, we moved to a 4950m2 warehouse in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent.
Between 2002 and 2015, we saw consistent growth from £2m-£8m.

2015

After extending the Cheadle factory, Robust had now outgrown the location and a new site was found. So, we moved to a 4950m2 warehouse in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent.
The site had been vacant for a number of years. This additional factory growth increased the turnover from £18m to £18m in 7 years.

2018

Robust UK was acquired by the Novoferm Group in 2018, a successful European door business. The commercial support and knowledge has helped the company grow further.

2022

By 2022, the current Longton site had doubled in size after extensions and additions to the building. Production capacity had at this point reached its maximum.

2023

In 2022, Robust UK received approval from the Novoferm Group to look for new larger premises. An ideal location was found in Newcastle-under-Lyme. We are currently in the process of installing brand new state of the art machinery and facilities.
The move to our new 7700m2 warehouse by 2024 will also see a transition to our rebranded blue logo.
