Robust Strengthens HR Team

Robust’s HR department is going from strength to strength as we recently welcomed two new members to the team.

Alison Scarsbrook has joined our team as HR Manager. She has a wealth of HR experience with more than 32 years under her belt. Angela Minster is working alongside Alison as our HR Assistant  – she has worked in HR for 20 years, in both the private and public sector.

Recruitment in the short and long term, redesigning the company’s onboarding process and recruitment system as well as looking at our operations, strategic and cultural focus are top of Alison’s priorities, fully supported by Angela.

They are also working on introducing a Management Development Programme as well as focussing on the Apprenticeship Programme.

Alison said: “During the short time I’ve been here I’ve really enjoyed it. The people are really great and have made me feel a valued member of the team. The company is very family-orientated which is brilliant.  I’m looking forward to working with them as we look to move to the new multi-million pounds site in Chesterton.

I pride myself on being able to see things both from both the employer’s and an employee’s perspective and I can’t wait to make a real difference here.”

In her spare time Alison shows Great Danes with her husband, eating at nice restaurants and entertaining. She also has a side hustle and makes knitted hats in her spare time.

Angela added: “I’m working closely with Alison and looking forward to helping her shape Robust’s HR strategy going forward. I’m really enjoying it here – the people are lovely, and the environment is very supportive.”

Angela says she’s a cat Mum to three – Dingle, Dottie and Daisy, she volunteers for the Children’s Society and enjoys being creative by upcycling and DIY projects.
